I’m not sure if this is at all a shocking move, but it’s definitely one that’s upset its fair share of geeks.
NBC released its Winter 2012 TV schedule, and while shows like 30 Rock and a project based on the life of Chelsea Handler will be both returning and making their debut respectively, one show will not be coming back, at least this season. Community will not be returning for the Winter 2012 season, taking a hiatus that at this point has no end.
While I’m not familiar with much of the show, I do know that it is easily one of the most beloved shows on TV, or at least its admirers are the loudest. The show has oft been discussed as one with the potential, and likelihood, of being cancelled, so while this isn’t a death wish, it’s about the closest thing to it. Hopes aren’t high for the return of this sucker, but here’s to hoping it can make a speedy return.

I love this show! I think this is a big mistake.

Aw damn, they only needed one more season to end it in a proper fashion.Â
