Following the lifting of the embargo regarding early reviews, the buzz surrounding the upcoming David Fincher film, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, has been so good that apparently Sony wants to get it out to the public earlier than planned.
Deadline reports that the studio will now release The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo on Tuesday, December 20, 2011, a day earlier than had been scheduled. Bowing at 7pm on the 20th, the film is set to make its public debut following some rather superb buzz.
Personally, this is great news. It will definitely give the movie a leg up on what will be a busy holiday week, so this is both smart for Sony, and really great news for those of us eagerly anticipating this film. It may only be a few hours total, but hey, you’ll take what you can get, right? A great film opening up a day early – what’s not to like about that?
