Nothing says Happy Holidays like a snowman massacre!
Bill Watterson fan’s will instantly recognize the scenes in the following video as being straight from the pages of his long-running comic series Calvin and Hobbes. Jim Frommeyer, along with Teague Chrystie (of the Down in Front podcast) put together this heart-warming “live-action” rendition of Watterson’s infamous ‘Snowman House of Horrors’ holiday strip.
The video, entitled “A Very Calvin & Hobbes Christmas,” was created using practical models of varying substances – playdough, papier maché, wire-frame sculputres, flour, and copious amounts of sugar. The models were set-up on Frommeyer’s dining room table and lit using twelve lights, then they “got cleaned and sexied by computers.”
Happy Holidays!
Check it out and enjoy.
