Whether Ridley Scott chooses to admit it or not (and he will come release time), his upcoming return to big-budget science fiction Prometheus is linked in more than one vaguely defined way to Alien, the classic intergalactic horror film that made the director’s feature directing career. The recently released teaser trailer and poster are practically wearing the Alien influence in the form of a neon sign mounted on its head. So it makes sense for some clever video editor to link the two movies in the form of a trailer mash-up, and that’s exactly what YouTube user heresjohnny1991 has done.
You can watch the video here below.
The video recreates the famous Alien trailer with the assistance of the music used in the Prometheus teaser and the results are beyond cool. The images and music compliment each other perfectly. There are a few shots in this video that reveal particular aspects of the big secrets of Alien‘s plot, but the movie has been around for more than three decades so you’ll have to forgive me if I don’t bother screaming SPOILER WARNING! Never mind…..
