In less than three months Marvel’s The Avengers will hit the big screen and mark the culmination of a decade’s worth of developing and producing films based on the vaunted Marvel Comics super-team’s individual members, joining them together for one massive big-screen spectacle under the direction of geek god Joss Whedon. The advertising campaign so far, needless to say, has been successful in building up anticipation for what could be the biggest movie of the summer, with the release of a teaser trailer a few months ago and most recently a well-received Super Bowl TV spot that gave fans a better glimpse at the characters in action and the otherworldly adversary they’d be facing.
A new fan-made trailer has been put together by the Ontario-based production house Synn Studios Inc. and edited by Nick Montgomery with music by Glitch Mob. The video assembles (pun joyfully intended) footage from the Avengers teaser, Super Bowl spot, and the Marvel Studios films that lead up to The Avengers: Iron Man, Iron Man 2, The Incredible Hulk, Thor, and Captain America: The First Avenger.
You can check out the video here below.
Once again proving that sometimes die-hard movie fans know how to cut a better trailer than the highest-paid trailer editors in Hollywood, this Avengers fan trailer uses the footage from the individual team member movies to open up the elaborate back story of the team. The scenes from the Avengers previews fill out the second half of the trailer, making this a nicely-edited video that will do the trick until the final official trailer hits the web.
