84th Annual Academy Awards Winners; Who Took Home Oscar?
The Movie God   |  @   |

Yes, dear friends, another awards season has come and gone, and the big show, the 84th annual Academy Awards, were handed out this evening.

The Artist came to throw down, Hugo was showered with technical awards, and Meryl Streep did what Meryl Streep does.

You can check out the full list of winners by heading on over to the other side now.

But before we get to the winners, there is of course Billy Crystal returning as host. Instead of trying to change things up and appeal to a younger audience (as they’ve been trying to do for so many years now), Crystal returned for his 9th hosting gig by doing what he does best: parodying some of the nominated films, and a little song and dance number. Though now 63 years old, the man is still one of the best showmen out there, and it was great to see him back doing what he does better than anyone else.

Oh, and what might have won the night was a bit not involving Crystal but some very familiar faces acting as a focus group for The Wizard of Oz. I won’t say more than that, but seek it out immediately.

What’d you think of the winners?
