The Lost GoddessThe Lost Goddess
By Tom Knox
Viking Press
Release date: February 2, 2012
Hardcover | Kindle Edition

The Lost Goddess is the latest thrilling adventure from author Tom Knox whereupon we follow young American archeologist Julia Kerrigan as she unearths ancient skulls in France; British photographer Jake Thirby, who decides he needs to do more important work than snapping shots of local Far East exotica for a coffee table book; and Chemda Tek, who’s on a quest to find out exactly what the Khmer Rouge did to her grandmother. All of this has all of them literally running for their lives.

The trouble begins when Julia’s fellow archeologists start dying in hideously savage ways. Meanwhile, halfway around the world, Jake and Chemda’s research team is also being hunted down and eliminated in similar fashion. Could it be just a coincidence that all of them are on a quest to unearth long-buried evil? Will any of them survive long enough to share what they’ve learned with the rest of the world? You’ll have to read The Lost Goddess to find out and believe me, you won’t be disappointed.

With his vast real-life knowledge of faraway lands, Knox brilliantly spins several fascinating yarns from the forgotten ancient caves in France to the mysterious Plain of Jars in Laos and expertly weaves them into one intricate web of political intrigue, history, mystery, superstition, interspecies crossbreeding, dysfunctional family shenanigans, and unthinkable betrayal all while providing rich, disturbing details of the most violent period in Cambodian history. Oh and there’s also a budding love story that can’t help but develop on the run.

Tom Knox is also the author of The Genesis Secret and The Marks of Cain. You can read all about the ghastly true stories behind the mysteries depicted in The Lost Goddess and Knox’s adventures in the Far East by visiting his website.
