“The adventures begins,” says David, the android (they prefer the term “˜artificial person’) portrayed by Michael Fassbender in Ridley Scott‘s new film Prometheus. David is commenting on the Prometheus crew’s first steps on an alien world – a world that could hold the secret to humanity’s origins.
In this new 1:39 featurette, which you can watch here below, director Ridley Scott talks about his return to science-fiction with Prometheus, a film 30 years in the making. “It’s all about everything,” says Scott at Pinewood Studios, an unfinished interior set of the Space Jockey room behind him.
While the featurette doesn’t show a lot of new footage, there are some great snippets. We get to see Holloway (Logan Marshall-Green) channel his inner-Hudson with some “Woo! C’mon, you ready to do this!?” dialogue as the crew heads toward their destination.
Other new shots include David (Fassbender) entering the map room and commenting on the technology of the structure, “A superior species no doubt.” A superior species indeed, capable of creating the perfect organism – its structural perfection matched only by its hostility.
The featurette is filled with interviews from the cast and crew including Fassbender, Marshall-Green, Scott, as well as Guy Pearce, Charlize Theron, Noomi Rapace, Idris Elba.
