Want To Be Frozen In Carbonite? Find Out How Your ‘Star Wars’ Dream Can Become A Reality!

Star Wars Carbon-Freeze Me

OK so maybe getting frozen in carbonite isn’t your greatest Star Wars dream—it actually appeared to be rather uncomfortable for Mr. Han Solo—but if you’ve ever wondered what your expression would look like after being betrayed by a trusted friend and imprisoned in the tightest of cells for delivery to a 600-year-old gangster slug, now’s your chance…and without all the discomfort it comes with!

During Star Wars Weekends this year at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, those who reserve a spot will enjoy the “Carbon-Freeze Me” experience, which is part of the new D-Tech line that uses technology to offer up insanely cool personalization options.

During the Carbon-Freeze Me experience, which is located near The American Idol Experience at the Carbon-Freezing Chamber, state-of-the-art imagine technology will see multiple cameras capturing all angles of your face. These images will then be entered into a computer and applied to a body frozen in carbonite to make it look as if you yourself have been entombed in the material.

If that isn’t cool enough for you, the final image will then be used to create an eight-inch 3D figurine of you frozen in carbonite that will be shipped to your door four or so weeks later.

The not-so-exciting part of all this is, as it always seems to be, the price. Grabbing yourself a figurine of you trapped in carbonite will cost you $99.95 plus shipping, and you can get additional copies using the same image scans for $74.95. You’ll also get a light-up wristband for your coin.

For the moment, this will only be open to those who make reservations for the Carbon-Freeze Me experience, which opens on May 18th when Star Wars Weekends begin. You can do so by calling 407-WDW-TECH (407-939-8324).

There’s also a little fine print to be known as well. It reads as follows:

Please note: Separate Theme Park admission required for Disney’s Hollywood Studios. No discounts apply unless otherwise noted. Guests must be at least three (3) years of age to participate. A valid accepted credit card number is required at time of booking. No-shows or in the event a reservation is cancelled within 48 hours of scheduled experience will result in such credit card being charged a $25 cancellation fee. The experience, due to its personalized nature is non-refundable and not eligible for an exchange. Children must be accompanied by an adult at least 18 years of age or older during the entire experience. Certain restrictions may apply. All prices, components and information are subject to change without notice.

Be sure to head over to Disney Parks Blog for more images.
