We mentioned that you would fear Tom Hardy‘s performance as Bane in The Dark Knight Rises thanks to new footage that debut last night. But what about the runtime for the film? Christopher Nolan‘s previous two Batman films had an average run time of about 2 hours and 30 minutes. Now AMC (via Collider) confirms that The Dark Knight Rises clocks in at 2 hours and 45 minutes.
But that’s not all. AMC Theaters has also announced that it will be running a Dark Knight marathon. The site mentions that tickets for the marathon would go on sale at 12 pm EDT on June 11. While the site clearly says that The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises will be a part of the marathon that will be held on July 19th, it does not tell us if Batman Begins will be included.
Seeing as Batman Begins was the first part of the revamped Batman movie franchise, it would make sense to have the film be included in this marathon. I am crossing my fingers that it does happen.
So bring some extra cash and go to the bathroom before each showing, because it sounds like you’re in for a long day. But it will be well worth it.
