Paramount may not have had a panel at the San Diego Comic-Con this year, but that hasn’t stopped some people from pushing their films. For instance, during the Dredd panel, Karl Urban had promised that he would release some special footage from Star Trek 2 some time during the weekend.
Lo and behold, the guy wasn’t lying, but he wasn’t exactly telling us the truth. Check out the fun tease below.
Interestingly enough, there is much more footage than Urban surfing to Cage the Elephant’s Shake Me Down. In the video, there’s the teaser poster for Dredd, which is followed by JJ Abrams and his crew wrapping up production. Those ten seconds take place where no one can really identify any juicy details about the movie. How convenient.
However, I am not at all surprised that this is the amount of footage we are getting from the set of Star Trek 2. One would think it be a lot less than ten seconds.
So if you don’t want to sit through Urban surfing along the coast, then scroll all the way to 3:46 on the player, and you will see the ten-second wrap up.
So what do you make of what Abrams is holding? Will it be significant to the story?
