The Kindle ebook deal of the day today is Lucky Man: A Memoir an autobiography by actor Michael J. Fox for only $1.99 (that’s a 85% discount!). The book also comes in paperback and hardcover.
The actor, who began his career on TV’s Family Ties, went on to star in the wildly popular Back To The Future film trilogy, as well as several other 80s comedies like Teen Wolf and The Secret To My Success, before returning to TV with Spin City. At 30 years old, Fox was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, which changed the course of his life. In this memoir, Fox talks about growing up in Canada and ending up on a hit TV show, parlaying that into a successful film career. He also talks about his efforts to raise awareness of Parkinson’s disease and what his life has been like for the past 10 years, all leading up to why he considers himself a “lucky man,” as the title suggests. The proceeds from this book all go to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
