With today comes the release of the Hitman HD Trilogy, a collection of games from the great Hitman video game series given a high-definition makeover!
The games being re-released in HD for the set are Hitman 2: Silent Assassin, Hitman: Contracts, and Hitman: Blood Money. As an added bonus, you’ll also receive Hitman: Sniper Challenge, which was an extremely fun little pre-order bonus offered to those who locked up their copy of Hitman: Absolution (which is not part of this set) early.
In conjunction with the release of the trilogy, a launch trailer has also been released and can be seen below!
Though it had some minor flaws, Hitman: Absolution was a long-awaited and insanely fun return to the world of Agent 47, and it’s a brilliant move to give some of the other fantastic games in the series a pretty polish for fans old and new to enjoy again or discover for the very first time. Even the Sniper Challenge is a noteworthy addition; as I said in my review, I wish they’d release a full game of just sniper levels like this on Xbox Live or PlayStation Network or Steam.
The only negative is that it does not include the very first Hitman game, but it does not appear that that’s really all that much of a big deal.
You can grab the trilogy for yourself right now on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. Fun side note: a quick visit to the Xbox 360 version’s Amazon customer “reviews” section results in some good laughs as you shake your head at just how stupid some people can be. Enjoy!
Will you be picking up the Hitman HD Trilogy?
