Fans of the NBC comedy Community will be able to see their favorite characters as puppets in an upcoming episode of the show, which is set to air some time this spring.
In the episode, the study group goes on a wild balloon ride and end up crashing in the woods, and spending some time with a friendly mountain man. The experience has everyone feeling a bit awkward, so in order to speak about it freely, they all use puppet versions of themselves to share the tale.
The puppetized characters will include Jeff (Joel McHale), Pierce (Chevy Chase), Britta (Gillian Jacobs), Shirley (Yvette Nicole Brown), Abed (Danny Pudi), Annie (Alison Brie), Troy (Donald Glover), and Chang (Ken Jeong).
The friendly mountain man the group meets will be played by special guest star Jason Alexander, who is of course best known as George Costanza on the greatest sitcom of all time, Seinfeld.
The puppets for this episode of Community will be made of felt and foam, and created by Scott Johnson and Drew Massey and their teams. They also turned David Boreanaz into a puppet for an episode of Angel.
