‘Misfits & Monsters’ Trailer: Horror-Comedy Anthology Series From Bobcat Goldthwait

A trailer was released recently for the debut season of Misfits & Monsters, a new horror-comedy anthology series coming to truTV.
The show comes from Bobcat Goldthwait, who’s best known as the stand-up comedian and actor who appeared in the Police Academy movies, Scrooged, and Shakes the Clown, and more recently as the filmmaker behind World’s Greatest Dad, God Bless America, and Willow Creek.
The trailer is kind of a trailer/featurette hybrid, with peeks at the show paired with Goldthwait talking about it. You can read more about Misfits & Monsters and check out the trailer along with some bonus videos below.

‘DuckTales’ Reboot Trailer Reminds Us Of Our Childhood

As a child of the ’90s, I fondly remember watching Disney cartoons from Tale Spin and Rescue Rangers to Darkwing Duck. But I imagine there isn’t as big a classic as DuckTales. The series has now been rebooted, since that is the norm nowadays, and it has managed to assemble quite a cast of comedians. From Danny Pudi, Ben Schwartz, and Bobby Moynihan, who will voice Huey, Dewey, and Louie respectively, to David Tennant who will voice Scrooge McDuck. Other talents include Beck Bennett as Launchpad McQuack, and Kate Micucci as Webby.
We previously saw the cast sing the classic theme song, but there wasn’t much else. Now a new trailer has popped up online giving us our first look at the upcoming revival. Check it out below.

‘Community’ Season 6 Is Happening After All

Fans of the hit sitcom Community were pretty bummed out when the show was canceled recently after five seasons, significantly damaging hope for “six seasons and a movie.”
But these days being canceled isn’t necessarily a death sentence. With the rise of streaming media, other options exist. The hope that a company like Netflix or Hulu or Amazon will resurrect a dead series for their streaming service means faithful fans always have a little spark of hope.
For Community, that hope is now a reality. The comedy is indeed getting a season six after all, but its savior might not be who you were expecting.

NBC Cancels Cult Favorite Comedy ‘Community’ After 5 Glorious Low-Rated Seasons

It looks like the doors of Greendale Community College are closing forever.
Today any hope for intelligent, innovative comedy finding a home at NBC was almost permanently nuked like a microwaved gremlin as the network has announced the long-dreaded yet tragically inevitable cancellation of the cult favorite comedy series Community only a few weeks after the conclusion of its fifth season.

Cast Of NBC’s ‘Community’ To Become Puppets In Upcoming Episode

Fans of the NBC comedy Community will be able to see their favorite characters as puppets in an upcoming episode of the show, which is set to air some time this spring.
In the episode, the study group goes on a wild balloon ride and end up crashing in the woods, and spending some time with a friendly mountain man. The experience has everyone feeling a bit awkward, so in order to speak about it freely, they all use puppet versions of themselves to share the tale.

Watch Now: ‘Community’ Animated Short ‘Abed’s Master Key Part 2’

The second of the three Community animated shorts has been released. You can watch “Abed’s Master Key Part 2” here below.
Other than a couple of nice running gags involving Super Soakers and Danny Glover, I didn’t get much laughs out of this cartoon. I understand that the purpose of these shorts is to help increase awareness of Community before the show returns next week, but shoddy Flash animation is hardly the way to go. Despite having the participation of the show’s cast there’s just not much life or even hilarity to be found here. Plus they’re too damn brief; each short runs less than two minutes and that’s not including the intros and outros. I would have preferred live-action webisodes with sharper writing. Maybe the final part of “Abed’s Master Key” will make it all worthwhile.

Watch Now: ‘Community’ Animated Short ‘Abed’s Master Key Part 1’

On Monday we brought you the news that NBC would be producing a series of animated shorts to mark the return of Community from its mid-season hiatus.
The first of the shorts has premiered online today. You can watch “Abed’s Master Key Part 1” here below.
Featuring the voices of the Community cast, “Master Key” finds Abed (Danny Pudi) becoming Dean Pelton’s (Jim Rash) “depu-dean” and being given a master key to all of Greendale Community College, something the rest of the gang will likely attempt to exploit in the next two shorts.

‘Community’ Animated Promotional Shorts Premiering Online This Week

Community is coming back to television in less than two weeks. It’s about time. For so long I’ve missed hanging out in the halls and on the grounds of Greendale Community College with Jeff and the gang. It’s been three months since the show went on hiatus and a lot has happened in that time. Dean Pelton even won an Oscar. Truly amazing.
NBC is rolling out the red carpet, or rather raising the Greendale butt flag (E Pluribus Anus), for Community‘s return by releasing a three-part series of animated promotional shorts this week, with each short to premiere over three consecutive days.
