Sonic the Hedgehog Movie

Back in May the first trailer for Sonic the Hedgehog, a movie based on the SEGA video game character of the same name, was released by Paramount Pictures. The response could not have been worse. The response was so overwhelmingly negative, in fact, that the movie instantly became the internet’s favorite subject for jokes and memes galore. It was a disaster.

The reason for this wildfire of negativity was the design of the title character. It was…poor, to put it nicely. The damage was so great that Paramount was forced to throw away a significant amount of time, effort, and money that had gone into designing and animating the character, and start over in hopes of stopping the bleeding before it was too late.

Now, after deleting the first trailer, poster, and more (though the internet never forgets, of course), Paramount has released another trailer with the newly designed Sonic. You can check it out below.

Sonic the Hedgehog Movie Header

Though video game film adaptations have garnered very mixed to horrible results, the craze isn’t ending anytime soon. Paramount has released the first trailer for Sonic the Hedgehog, a CGI-animation and live-action hybrid that sees the title character, who is animated, interacting in the real world.

Now we get to see why Sonic (voice of Ben Schwartz) is here and how he will protect this world from the likes of Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey). Check out the trailer and a new poster below.

DuckTales Disney XD

As a child of the ’90s, I fondly remember watching Disney cartoons from Tale Spin and Rescue Rangers to Darkwing Duck. But I imagine there isn’t as big a classic as DuckTales. The series has now been rebooted, since that is the norm nowadays, and it has managed to assemble quite a cast of comedians. From Danny Pudi, Ben Schwartz, and Bobby Moynihan, who will voice Huey, Dewey, and Louie respectively, to David Tennant who will voice Scrooge McDuck. Other talents include Beck Bennett as Launchpad McQuack, and Kate Micucci as Webby.

We previously saw the cast sing the classic theme song, but there wasn’t much else. Now a new trailer has popped up online giving us our first look at the upcoming revival. Check it out below.

Recently we saw a teaser for the new DuckTales coming to Disney XD in 2017, but it didn’t show much.

While we await a full trailer, eager fans will be excited to watch a recently released video. The video features the cast of the new DuckTales, including the new voice of Scrooge McDuck David Tennant (Doctor Who, Jessica Jones), singing the classic theme song. Tennant is joined by Bobby Moynihan (Saturday Night Live, Inside Out), who voices Louie; Ben Schwartz (Parks and Recreation, House of Lies), who plays Dewey; Danny Pudi (Community, Knights of Badassdom), who will be Huey; Kate Micucci (Garfunkel and Oates, Raising Hope), set to voice Webby Vanderquack; Toks Olagundoye (Castle, The Neighbors), who voices Mrs. Beakley; and Beck Bennett (SNL, Sing), as the new Launchpad McQuack.

The Walk Starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt

Towards the end of 2014, we got our very first look at The Walk, starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

The film, directed by Robert Zemeckis, is a telling of the 1970 event when Philippe Petit and a team of conspirators strung a wire between the World Trade Center towers in New York City so that Petit could perform a high-wire walk hundreds of feet above ground. The highly illegal act makes for a promising movie since there is drama, heist, and death-defying stunt elements in the film. Check out the trailer below.
