After making his directorial debut with Tron: Legacy, and following that up with this year’s Oblivion, Joseph Kosinski has become the face of filmmakers who have great attention to detail when it comes to the visual aspect of a film. Believe me, when you watch those films, you won’t believe the kind of worlds that he is able to create.
The director is currently attached to direct the third installment of the Tron franchise that is tentatively Tr3n, as well as a remake of the Disney cult classic, The Black Hole. But those films might end up on the back burner as he is in talks to direct The Twilight Zone for Warner Bros.
Per The Hollywood Reporter, Kosinski is now in talks with the studio to helm a new version of The Twilight Zone. Not much is known about how this version will differ from the film that was released in the 1980s. For all we know it could be a series of vignettes or a single story.
Before it became a film, The Twilight Zone started out as a televised series that aired on CBS from 1959-64. The first film based on the property debuted in theaters in 1983.
WB has been sitting on this property for quite some time now. Before he moved on to direct Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, the studio was very close to getting the film into production when Matt Reeves was attached to direct.
