Whether you love or hate the Call of Duty franchise, you have to appreciate a good geeky Easter Egg or two.
In the latest installment in the franchise titled Call of Duty: Ghosts, which just hit store shelves this week, someone found a small but excellent pair of Easter Eggs tipping their cap to both The Legend of Zelda and Doctor Who.
You can see an image of the Easter Eggs below.
The image shows a table with some awards on a table. The front and center one is a rupee from Zelda, which says “Awarded For: Most Bushes Cut and Pots Smashed,” while the one to the left looks an awful lot like a TARDIS from Doctor Who. I can’t read what it says, but one Redditor claims it says “Award For: Largest Interior with Smallest Exterior.” Whether that’s true or not, I do not know.
In case you’re curious, the ones on the right say “Given For: World Not Ending 2012” in reference to silly Mayan doomsday predictions, and “Boring Award 2022” in reference to…I dunno.

The 2012 one is a reference to Assassians Creed III

At least it’s good to see Ghosts with easter eggs, I can’t even find one.
