Is everyone ready for the Doctor Who 50th anniversary special, The Day of the Doctor, airing this Saturday??? I AM! I AM!
In celebration of the highly anticipated upcoming special, BBC America had a TARDIS/Eleventh Doctor-themed cake commissioned by New Jersey specialty cake shop Pink Cake Box. Check out the photos here below of the cake, which was delivered today to BBC America’s New York office. The cake was reportedly more delicious on the inside.
Pink Cake Box wrote on their Facebook page about the cake:
We were so excited to make this cake for the 50th birthday of Doctor Who! via BBC America!
I’m excited for them, and I’am thrilled that the same people who made the cake for the massive catered affair we held for Heiress Of Doom’s (aka the Heir To The Empire) high school graduation this past June — where the cake artists created a figure on top in her likeness (right down to the gown she wore) — also did such a gorgeous and special creation for the Doctor Who anniversary. That makes me like three degrees from Doctor Who! (By the way, if you want to see the beautiful creation they made for the Doom family, click here.)
