Welcome to Yesterday Trailer

Found footage movies have dominated the horror genre for the past couple of years, but now we’re really starting to see them branch out into other genres. The surprise microbudget megahit Chronicle covered found footage superheros, and now comes a new found footage flick that dives into the always interesting (sometimes in a good way, sometimes in a bad way) world of time travel, with hopes of replicating that low-cost, high-reward Chronicle success.

The movie is titled Welcome to Yesterday (a new title, as the former title, Almanac, is still being used on IMDB), and involves a group of friends who discover a way to create a time travel machine, and then begin to use this new found technology with reckless abandon. Such power can quickly go to a young person’s—or any person’s, for that matter—head, and soon the friends realize that their actions have great consequences.

Welcome to Yesterday is directed by Dean Israelite, who’s making his feature directorial debut after some short film work, and will be released on February 28 2014.
