Yesterday, it was confirmed that Paul Bettany had been cast as The Vision, Ultron’s synthezoid who turns on his creator and joins The Avengers. Whether or not that happens in Avengers: Age Of Ultron remains to be seen. But it was definitely an upgrade for the actor, who had been voicing JARVIS since Iron Man. Now, you might think with filming set to begin in a month that the casting phase is complete. Well, that isn’t the case.
Latino Review reports that Ms. Marvel is the final role for Avengers: Age of Ultron they are looking for.
Katee Sackoff was originally rumored to play the role, but there is no word on if there are talks between her and Marvel Studios or who Marvel is considering to fill the role.
After being caught in an Kree-device explosion, USAF officer Carol Danvers becomes Ms. Marvel. After recovering from her injuries, Danvers discovers that she now has superhuman strength, flight, and energy projection and absorption.
Latino Review won’t give us any details on how the film will introduce her or what kind of role she has in the film, but I’m going to have to guess that she fights for good, and probably for S.H.I.E.L.D. – if you can call that organization fighting for good.
So what do you think? Who should end up playing the part?
I say that this movie is looking over-packed. Danvers should get her own movie first, unless the plan is to have her be a non-powered S.H.I.E.L.D. agent first and then reveal her gaining powers as a post-credits teaser.
Anyway, Sackhoff is a good choice. I don’t know how well Natalie Dormer can do an American accent, but if she’s good at it, I’d put her up there, too.
