
While you’re waiting for the Viking Apocalypse to come, you can dive into Penquin Classics’ Legends From the Ancient North, a collection of five Norse literature classics, including The Elder Edda, which makes references to Ragnarok.
Aside from its ties to Ragnarok, The Elder Edda, as well as the other four classics in this collection, is touted as being an inspiration to J.R.R. Tolkien his famous books, The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings trilogy.
You can get the Penquin Classics editions, which were released in October 2013, for the Kindle and start reading right away or order the print editions, but either way, these covers by designed by paper-cutting artist Petra Börner are gorgeous.
