Disney has released the first teaser trailer for the next animated feature from Pixar, Inside Out, which is set to premiere next summer.
Directed by Pete Docter (Monsters Inc., Up) from his own story which was likely whipped into script form by Pixar’s vast human brain trust, Inside Out tells the story of a little girl named Riley and the different emotions she experiences during the story, which are portrayed on-screen as unusual characters living in her head voiced by Amy Poehler, Bill Hader, Mindy Kaling, Phyllis Smith, and Lewis Black.
You can watch the trailer here below.
The trailer has a strong opening as it shows how various emotions were displayed in Pixar features past before going into the Inside Out footage with a very appropriate Aerosmith tune providing the musical accompaniment.
Pixar is a pretty trusted brand and this might yet become one of their classics, but I can’t be the only one getting a major Herman’s Head vibe from this trailer. I know the writer of the article I used as a source did.
Anyone remember that show? Herman’s Head? Fox comedy from the early ’90s?
No? No one?
Man, I am really getting old.
Inside Out opens on June 19, 2015.
