Directed by Philip Sgriccia
Written by Jeremy Carver

The CW

The Road So Far: Just last week was Charlie’s (Felicia Day) funeral pyre, and the decimation of the Styne (as in Frankenstein) family by Dean (Jensen Ackles). Dean even killed the little “not so evil” Styne kid. After Charlie uploads all the answers and then bravely dies, Dean loses it. He totally blames Sam, and truth be told – it is kinda his fault. The episode last week was just Dean steeped in blood. Sam still wants to save him. He even tries to kill Crowley (Mark Sheppard), who had a fit about it, but then vowed to go back to his old, totally evil ways.

Supernatural 10.23 “Brother’s Keeper” review: Dean is off the grid, and on a serious loner bender. He is still working, but on the dark side of the force. That dark gets even darker as he commits the ultimate good guy transgression.

Rowena is still working the spell. They need a few ingredients though: the apple that Eve tempted Adam with, the golden calf from biblical times, and something Rowena loves – all impossible.

Castiel summons Crowley to help Dean. He’s totally in, probably because of the “kill something Rowena loves” part.

He gave up his baby, his Impala. Left the keys and a note for Sam.

Where did he go? To make nachos for Death.

The answer is not a good one, and kinda “doesn’t make any sense,” says Sam. Dean wants to live on another plane of existence, and he wants Sam to die. Or at least that’s what Sam, Death, and we thought as he swung the scythe and… killed Death?!?!?!?!

What the hell! What a cliffhanger!

They end as a crazed Castiel (thanks to Rowena) is about to plunge an angel blade into a frozen Crowley.

And we watched as The Darkness swallowed up the Impala and our Winchesters.

How can they leave us this way? Plus we didn’t tie up…

– Where’s Metatron?
– Will there be a huge population explosion?
– How does this all affect Heaven, and more importantly, Bobby?

See you in Season 11, Supernatural!
