The third DLC add-on for Fallout 4, titled “Far Harbor,” is available to download today. It’s the last of the previously announced first three add-ons, with “Automatron” and “Wasteland Workshop” coming before it. More DLC will be announced in the future.
While the first two were fairly small, this latest DLC is quite massive. In fact, it’s the biggest landmass Bethesda has created for an add-on. You can read more info on the new DLC and watch both a trailer and a making of video below.
In Far Harbor, a new case from Valentine’s Detective Agency leads you on a search for a young woman and a secret colony of synths. Travel off the coast of Maine to the mysterious island of Far Harbor, where higher levels of radiation have created a more feral world. Navigate through the growing conflict between the synths, the Children of Atom, and the local townspeople. Will you work towards bringing peace to Far Harbor, and at what cost?
Far Harbor features the largest landmass for an add-on that Bethesda Game Studios has ever created, filled with new faction quests, settlements, lethal creatures and dungeons. Become more powerful with new, higher-level armor and weapons. The choices are all yours.
You can also find a ton more information over at Bethesda.
I’ve spent many days hanging out in Maine, including a few visits to Bar Harbor—the name of the town the DLC is set in before nuclear fire made everything terrifying—when I was younger. It appears my next visit will be a memorable one as well!
