A couple of days back we found out that HBO would be airing a documentary they had made about the lives and relationship of Star Wars star Carrie Fisher and her mother, Singin’ in the Rain star Debbie Reynolds, this weekend.
The film, titled Bright Lights, had already screened at multiple film festivals, including its premiere at Cannes, to high praise, but was not officially released before Fisher and Reynolds passed away within one day of each other last week. A clip from the doc had been previously released and can be seen right here, but HBO has now released more of a trailer which can be seen below.
Here’s the information on when you can watch Bright Lights from an HBO press release:
BRIGHT LIGHTS: STARRING CARRIE FISHER AND DEBBIE REYNOLDS has already received audience and critical acclaim at many prestigious film festivals, including the 2016 Cannes Film Festival, the Telluride Film Festival and the New York Film Festival.
The film is directed by Alexis Bloom (Nova Science Now) and Fisher Stevens (The Cove).
