Following Bill Potts (Pearl Mackie) entering the TARDIS with the Doctor (Peter Capaldi), the pair head into the future, visiting a new human settlement on Gliese 581d. But where are all the people? And what are these strange robots that talk in emoji?
During TARDISblend 101, we dive into the beginning of the new Doctor Who season, explore the dynamic character development we are seeing in the first two episodes, and drill deep into the subtexts and themes explored in this second chapter of Series 10.
All this and more on the latest TARDISblend!
Presented by Greg Davies (cGt2099 from The Heavy Metal Historian Podcast) and geek journalist Tom Cheredar, TARDISblend is a podcast that takes a look at the ongoing adventures in the Doctor Who Universe – as Peter Capaldi concludes his journey as the Doctor!

Hi guys and a big welcome to series 10.
It’s so great to hear you guys rappin’ about the new run and getting excited once again. Two 10 outa 10’s, wonderful and well deserved. Hearing you disecting and speculating with the excitememnt of school boys is wonderful. See, told ya, ye of little faith ;) When you’ve been watching it for 50 odd years as I have, you learn to take the rough with the smooth, as it were.
I’m so enjoying this season so far and I think the boys in Wales and London, are going to knock it out of the park this time.
Missy, Master, Doc number 1. it all seems to be leading up to an exciting swan song for the ol’ Moff.
However on the Capaldi “look” I’m getting the “non canon” doctor Pter Cushiin?
Anyway guys, 2 great ones, 10 more to look forward to, hopefully 10 out of 10 for a full season.
My recommendation is the Liz Saden (Sarah Jane) biography. A wonderful read and and well worth the time.
So, in the meantime guys, all the best from Edinburgh.
FREEDOM FAE SCOTLAND!
“You can take our lives but you’ll never take our freedom” William Wallace, or was it Mel Gibson?
:) TT
