
A trailer has been released for Alpha, a survival movie set 20,000 years ago during the last Ice Age.
The movie is directed by Albert Hughes, who’s best known for directing Menace II Society, Dead Presidents, From Hell, and The Book of Eli as part of a directing team with his brother Allen Hughes. Allen’s current project is producing on the HBO miniseries The Defiant Ones, as well as writing and directing the first episode.

DESCRIPTION:
An epic adventure set in the last Ice Age. Europe, 20,000 years ago. While on his first hunt with his tribe’s most elite group, a young man is injured and left for dead. Awakening to find himself broken and alone — he must learn to survive and navigate the harsh and unforgiving wilderness. Reluctantly taming a lone wolf abandoned by its pack, the pair learn to rely on each other and become unlikely allies, enduring countless dangers and overwhelming odds in order to find their way home before the deadly winter arrives.
Starring in the movie is Kodi Smit-McPhee, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson, Natassia Malthe, Leonor Varela, Mercedes de la Zerda, and Jens Hultén. The story was written by Hughes, with the screenplay penned by Dan Wiedenhaupt.
Alpha is currently scheduled to be released in theaters on March 2, 2018.
