Check out the trailer below.
Based on the trailer alone, The Snowman looks like your traditional crime thriller. A worn detective is assigned to a case of unsolved murders. The killer seems to have a pattern and leaves a strange calling card which involves mutilating bodies and putting them on a snowman – either the head of a snowman is on a body or the victim’s head is on a body of a snowman. Since the film is set in Norway, it only adds to the chilling effect.
It should be interesting to see how fans of the novel and regular moviegoers will react to the film. Rebecca Ferguson, Charlotte Gainsbourg, J.K. Simmons, and Val Kilmer also star. Hossein Amini and Peter Straughan penned the script.
