The first trailer for Mandy, the much-anticipated action-horror film festival fave directed by Panos Cosmatos (Beyond the Black Rainbow) and starring the one and only Nicolas Cage, has been released by RLJE Films.
You can watch it here below.
Cage’s character Red Miller must wage a gory campaign against a Satanic cult led by Linus Roache (Batman Begins) after they kidnap his wife Mandy, played by Andrea Riseborough (The Death of Stalin), for a seriously diabolical purpose. The film co-stars Richard Brake (31), Ned Dennehy (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1), Olwen Fouéré (This Must Be the Place), and the legendary actor/filmmaker Bill Duke (Predator, Commando).
Mandy has been wowing audiences at festivals around the world since it made its official debut at this year’s Sundance Film Festival. With Cosmatos’ gift for gorgeous visuals married to some deranged heavy metal album cover imagery (Demons on motorcycles! Red wielding a gleaming steel ax in battle!) and Cage unleashing yet another performance of full-strength insanity, this looks to be one of the most memorable genre features of the year.
A co-production with the horror streaming service Shudder, Mandy brings the blood-drenched madness to theaters and VOD on September 14, 2018. I’m ready. Bring it on.
