Magnolia Pictures & Magnet Releasing shared an official trailer for Body at Brighton Rock this week. The movie is a survival thriller following an inexperienced part-time park ranger who takes on a difficult job to prove she’s capable, but who ends up facing the challenge of a lifetime as she ends up in a situation far more difficult than she ever imagined.
The movie is written and direct by Roxanne Benjamin, who wrote and directed 2015’s Southbound and the XX segment “Don’t Fall.” She also co-wrote a second segment for XX, titled “The Birthday Party.”

SYNOPSIS:
Wendy, a part-time summer employee at a mountainous state park, takes on a rough trail assignment at the end of the season, trying to prove to her friends that she’s capable enough to do the job. When she takes a wrong turn and ends up deep in the backcountry, she stumbles upon what might be a potential crime scene.
Stuck with no communication after losing her radio and with orders to guard the site, Wendy must fight the urge to run and do the harder job of staying put “” spending the night deep in the wilderness, facing down her worst fears and proving to everyone – including herself – that she’s made of stronger stuff than they think she is.
Starring in the movie is Karina Fontes, Casey Adams, Emily Althaus, Miranda Bailey, Martin Spanjers, and John Getz. It is produced by Christopher Alender, David A. Smith, and Benjamin.
Body at Brighton Rock is set to be released in select theaters and on video on demand services on April 26th.
