The Grammys were held on Sunday night, February 10, 2019, and were hosted this time around by 15-time Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter Alicia Keys, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles with the live broadcast on CBS. Below are some of the highlights and clips from the broadcast of The 61th Annual Grammy Awards, along with the full list of Grammy winners at the end. Having Keys host this year was a major change in tone from the previous two years, which were led by comedian and late-night talk-show host James Corden. Instead of comedy throughout, Keys focused on highlighting the talent and careers of the presenters, nominees, winners, and performers.

The Director’s Guild of America honors the incredible achievements of directors. And this year, we had an extraordinary list of nominees in both film and television. Most of whom are already nominated for Oscars or Emmys. This year, The DGA Awards recognized Bradley Cooper for A Star is Born, Peter Farrelly for Green Book, Spike Lee for BlacKkKlansman, and Adam McKay for Vice. But it was Alfonso Cuaron who took home the prize for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Feature Film for his work on Roma. Check out more winners below.

| ‘Black Panther’ Takes Home The Top Prize At The 2019 SAG Awards |

Marvel Studios’ Black Panther continues to surprise many not because of how many awards it’s been nominated for but with how many wins it’s taking home. At the 2019 SAG Awards last night, the film took home the top prize of Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture, beating out films like BlacKkKlasman, Bohemian Rhapsody, Crazy Rich Asians, and A Star is Born. And no surprise to anyone, Rami Malek won Best Actor for his lead performance in Bohemian Rhapsody, while Mahershala Ali won Best Supporting Actor for his role as Don Shirley in Green Book. Emily Blunt won a supporting actress award for her performance in A Quiet Place, while Glenn Close won Best Actress for The Wife. And once again, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel continues to impress with three wins in Television. Check out the full list of winners below.

The Oscar nominations were announced earlier today, and there was plenty for Netflix and Fox Searchlight Pictures to be happy about as Roma and The Favourite both netted 10 nominations, including Best Picture. But as much as there is a cause for celebration, there were also a few snubs that needs to be brought to attention, like Bradley Cooper and Ryan Coogler being left out of the Best Director category. Luckily, there are also a few delightful surprises that need to be acknowledged, like Roma‘s Marina de Tavira nabbing a Best Supporting Actress nomination.
