Air date: Sunday, May 17, 2015, 9pm Spoilers ahead for Season 5 of Game Of Thrones… Last week’s Game Of Thrones, Episode 5.5 “Kill The Boy,” dealt with Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and the tough choices he has to make now that he is Lord Commander of the Night’s Watch, including turning down Stannis’s tempting offer to legitimized him and aligning with the Wildlings against the White Walkers. We also learned about sadist Ramsey Bolton’s illegitimate conception and his father’s current plans to face Stannis in battle once the latter attacks Winterfell. On the other side of the world, Jorah Mormont (Iain Glen) took his captive Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage) passed the haunted, ruined city of old Valyria, the ancestral home of the Targaryens, where they not only see the dragon Drogon flying overhead, but also come face-to-face with the Stone Men, the results of which won’t be good for Jorah. Meanwhile, in Meereen, ruler Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) dished out more harsh justice after an attack on her men by the Sons of the Harpy ended in the severe injury of Unsullied leader Grey Worm and the death of her trusted protector Ser Barristan Selmy.

Air date: Sunday, May 4, 2015, 9pm Spoilers ahead for Season 5 of Game Of Thrones… Last week’s Game Of Thrones, Episode 5.3 “High Sparrow”, was an exciting installment in the fifth season of the HBO series. We saw Margaery Tyrell (Natalie Dormer) marry her third King, the boy Tommen Baratheon (Dean-Charles Chapman), who is so enamored with this new bride that he fell right into her trap for him to try to get his wicked mother, Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey), out of town. Meanwhile, Cersei teamed up with the newly introduced “High Sparrow” (Jonathan Pryce), whose religious zealot followers made an example out of the sinning High Septon. The dowager queen also sent a curt message to Littlefinger (Aidan Gillen) to basically get his ass back to Kings Landing, but Lord Baelish has other plans, such as marrying Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) off to Roose Bolton’s recently legitimized bastard, Ramsey the sadist. Thankfully, Brienne (Gwendoline Christie) and Podrick (Daniel Portman) are following close behind. Sansa’s younger sister, Arya Stark (Maisie Williams), was still in Braavos at the House Of Black and White where she’s growing tired of sweeping the floor, awaiting her “faceless man” training to begin. Over at the Wall, Jon Snow made his first big move as the new Lord Commander of the Night’s Watch, after turning down Stannis Baratheon’s extremely tempting offer to be made Jon Stark, ruler of Winterfell, while in Volantis, Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage) got snatched from a whorehouse by none other than Ser Jorah Mormont (Iain Glen), who plans to bring the imp back to his “queen,” Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke), who is ruling in Meereen opposed by the murderous Sons of the Harpy.

Air date: Sunday, April 26, 2015, 9pm Spoilers ahead for Season 5 of Game Of Thrones… Last week’s Game Of Thrones, Episode 5.2 “The House Of Black and White”, saw Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) arrive to the House Of Black and White in Braavos in hopes of starting her training to become one of the Faceless Men, while her older sister Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) was traveling with Littlefinger (Aidan Gillen), but to where she did not know – only that it would be far away from Cersei’s clutches. That also meant away from Brienne of Tarth and her squire Podrick, who’ve come to protect her. Meanwhile, back in Kings Landing, Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) promised his sister and one true love Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) that he’d rescue their daughter Myrcella, who is living in Dorne, betrothed to Prince Trystane, nephew to the late Oberyn Martell’s – The Red Viper, who met a horrible end at the hand of The Mountain in Season 4. Over at The Wall, Jon Snow (Kit Harington) was voted Lord Commander of the Night’s Watch, while Stannis Baratheon (operating as King of Westeros, with his own followers) offered him the thing he’s wanted most — to be legitimized as Ned Stark’s son and become Jon Stark. In Pentos, Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) and the eunuch Varys (Conleth Hill) planned to join forces with Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke), who is residing in Meereen where she’s under attack from the Sons of the Harpy who oppose her rule.

Air date: Sunday, April 19, 2015, 9pm Last week’s Season 5 premiere of HBO’s Game Of Thrones, Episode 5.2 “Wars To Come,” felt more like a prologue to catch us up as to where all the characters are now rather than a fully formed episode. The premiere also left out one very important character who we’ve all been waiting to see — Arya Stark (Maisie Williams), who was last seen presenting a coin and speaking the words “Valar morghulis” to board a ship to the free city of Braavos. Instead, we got a flashback of Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) as a young girl, where we see she was a bitch even back then (although, we knew that from all the stories told about her); Cersei and twin brother/baby daddy Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) in the present day just barely mourning the loss of their father Tywin (Charles Dance); Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) and the eunuch Varys (Conleth Hill) escaping Kings Landing and making it to Pentos; Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) ruling in Meereen with the same old problems; and Jon Snow (Kit Harrington) being offered the chance of a lifetime to rule Winterfell.

Air date: Sunday, April 13, 2015, 9pm Game Of Thrones, one of the most highly anticipated television shows of the year, made its return on Sunday night. But Episode 5.1 “The Wars to Come” felt more like a “where are they now” installment that could have been summed up with a 5-minute preview video instead of an hour-long episode that moves the story forward. For this Season 5 debut we catch up with most of the cast of Season 4 — those who made it through the Season 4 finale, that is. In that finale, we saw Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) finally use her magic coin and utter the words “Valar morghulis” (All men must die) to gain passage to the free city of Braavos, where we know she will start her new life. Unfortunately, this first episode doesn’t feature her at all — we’ll have to wait for 5.2 to pick up on her story.
