Another gameplay demo for the upcoming next-gen-only Assassin’s Creed Unity has been released by Ubisoft, which focuses on a cool new feature fans can look forward to.

We’ve already seen the new co-op gameplay in action, but this new demo offers a glimpse of a co-op heist mission can go down. Basically, heists let you and your friends infiltrate a restricted area to acquire artifacts and treasure, and then try to escape unseen. The more silent and undetected you are whilst attempting the heist, the more you can make off with.

In a bit of an unexpected pairing, Rob Zombie has teamed up with Ubisoft and their Assassin’s Creed franchise to help promote the upcoming game in the series, Assassin’s Creed Unity.

Zombie, along with The Walking Dead co-creator Tony Moore, created an animated short motion comic that sets up the French Revolution setting of the game. It’s a well done short, and every bit as brutally violent and bloody as you would expect something made by Zombie to be!

A new video has been released looking at the engine used to make the first next-gen specific installment in the Assassin’s Creed franchise, titled Assassin’s Creed Unity.

The video shows off various aspects of what the engine, named Anvil, allows Ubisoft to achieve now, including character movement, lighting, AI, and the massive crowds that fill the streets (said to be 5,000 people in some areas).

A new trailer for the upcoming next game in Assassin’s Creed series, titled Assassin’s Creed: Unity, has been released by Ubisoft.

The new trailer is a gameplay trailer—though it plays more like a cinematic—showing some of the sections revealed at E3 2014, and is narrated by the new protagonist, Arno. You can read a description of the game and watch the new trailer below.

Every single year gamers everywhere expect Ubisoft to reach that point when it comes to their Assassin’s Creed franchise—the point when it’s just too much and they need to stop putting the games out so often. But every single year they show up with a new entry in the series, and it almost always wows. Sure, some feel the aforementioned point of no return was crossed long ago. But for most, the games simply continue to be high-quality history-hopping fun.

This year’s title is Assassin’s Creed: Unity, and it’s set during the French Revolution. Basically closest thing to Les Miserables: The Video Game you’ll ever get (fun fact: there actually IS a fighting game from Japan inspired by Les Miserables!), despite that story being set a bit after the history.

At E3 2014 Ubisoft showed off a ton of Unity, including a gameplay demo, a co-op demo, a cinematic trailer featuring a cover of a popular ’80s song, and an introduction to the game’s protagonist. All of these videos can be seen below.
