Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Image

E3 2014 was jam-packed with video game previews, as was expected, but one game not spotlighted much—at least not publicly—was Hideo Kojima‘s upcoming sequel Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. A new cinematic trailer for the game was released during E3, but the good stuff, the gameplay footage, was shown only behind closed doors.

Now, a week or so later, Kojima took part in a livestream in which the 30-minute gameplay demo shown at E3 was shared with the rest of the world. You can check it out below.

Ubisoft's Valiant Hearts

Many games were presented at E3 2014—some looking intense; some looking scary; some looking visually stunning; and some looking like a hell of a lot fun. But none looked quite as beautifully depressing as Valiant Hearts: The Great War.

The game is set during World War I, mixing exploration, action, and puzzles in a 2D adventure. It’s inspired by letters written during the Great War, and you’ll relive historical battles playing as four different characters joined by a faithful canine companion.

You can watch the trailer for Valiant Hearts below.

The Legend of Zelda on Wii U

Another upcoming game coming for the Wii U is a new title in The Legend of Zelda series arriving sometime in 2015.

While it’s not much, a brief preview of the new game was shown at Nintendo’s digital E3 2014 event. Basically the video gives you an idea of just how big the open-world map you’ll get to explore as Link will be. It’s not Skyrim or anything, but as far as Wii U games go it’s a natural progression Zelda fans have likely craved for a long time now.

You can check out the Legend of Zelda Wii U teaser video below.
