The folks over at io9 spoke to the man named Ridley Scott about his adaptation of Aldous Huxley‘s Brave New World. He shares where the project stands and where they may go with it. Also, this is another one that will pair Ridley Scott and Leonardo DiCaprio — who are naturally trying to out-duo other oft-paired talents Scorsese/DiCaprio, Scott/Crowe, and Burton/Depp!
Brave New World was written in 1932 and looks at a futuristic world where all people live by the same exact standards and natural reproduction has been replaced with a form of manufacturing children in one place. The story is often compared to George Orwell’s 1984, which Scott thinks is less accurate overall.
