One of the coolest parts about Disney’s acquisition of Lucasfilm is that Princess Leia of Star Wars is now technically a Disney Princess!!!

Rolling with that theme, Kat Curtis designed a great Halloween costume that mashes up Princess Leia’s “Slave Leia” garb and Disney’s Cinderella — CinderLeia!

The costume is really gorgeous and Kat rocks it.

Once all of our movie, television, and comic panels safely was behind us and New York Comic-Con 2013 coming dangerously close to a close, on the final day I was finally able carve out some time to spend on the convention floor and meet with all of the awesome exhibitors, cosplayers, and Geeks of Doom fans.

So, toting along my trusty sidekick, Canon, I photo documented my 7-hour journey across the convention floor for you. You can now see all the sites of New York Comic-Con from the safety of your own personal HQ, which means you’re also safe from the unavoidable nasal assault that comes along with a convention center packed with a hundred of thousands geeks.

New York Comic-Con 2013 is in full swing!

The Doom Crew was out and about this evening on the first day of the Con checking out all the cosplay and action on the convention floor.

It’s Labor Day weekend, which can only mean one thing: DRAGON CON! The cosplay is out in force this year with likely record crowds at Atlanta’s annual geek convention. The thing that really sets Dragon Con apart from other conventions that I attend is the insanely fun nightlife where the geeks invade the hotels in downtown Atlanta. The best cosplay can be found around midnight at the Marriott where you’ll find yourself engulfed in a mass amalgam of amazing cosplayers encompassing every genre imaginable.

This photo set here below covers cosplayers from Friday night, the downtown parade, and Saturday afternoon. Cosplaying legend Yaya Han (Heroes of Cosplay) was the highlight of this set as she manned her booth decked out in a Star Trek uniform. Other great cosplayers include Marty McFly and Doc, a huge foam Cylon, an amazing Tron uniform, and Shonuff from Last Dragon. While waiting in the two-hour pre-registration line we set the over/under for twerking Miley cosplayers at three. We ran into the first one around 1am on Friday night.
