Release Date: June 7, 2017

A few months back I had the distinct pleasure of reviewing a new comic that truly appealed to me in several ways. First in a series, Plague #1 was a remarkable change from the ho-hum average comic, for it gracefully blended true history with high fantasy. This newest installment, Plague #2, picks up right where the last issue left off and manages to cover a lot of proverbial ground. Keep reading to find out more!

I’m a sucker for all things historic. Even when they aren’t really all that historic. Take this comic, for instance. Britannia #1 is a dark, twisted tale that is set in Rome during the first century. This is the dawn of the Roman Empire as we all know it. But what if the myths and legends of the deities and demigods were based on actual events? This is the state of things as our story begins.
Read on for more details.

Ninjak #3 could not be better than issue #2 was. At least, that’s what I thought. For some reason the creative team seems to be on a mission to make each issue better than the last, just to spite me. Do you know how hard it is writing these reviews, when I keep having to say “this book can’t possibly get any better!”?

I don’t know what I was expecting from Ninjak #1, but I was not expecting what I read in this first issue. It just goes to show that when a publisher puts some quality talent on a title with a great concept, the result is amazing comics!
Valiant Comics decided to put writer Matt Kindt on this book, and the result is nothing short of fantastic. When you have a concept that’s a mash-up of a James Bond-type spy and a super ninja, and you put a writer who’s got the chops of Matt Kindt, again, fantastic things happen.

Comic Review: Cloak and Dagger #1
By Seaberry
Cloak and Dagger #1
One-shot
Written by Stuart Moore
Cover and art by Mark Brooks
Colors by Emily Warren
Letters by Dave Sharpe
Marvel Comics
Price: $3.99
Release Date: March 31, 2010
I have always been a bit of a Cloak and Dagger fan, and I have been pleased to see them in more Marvel Comics lately. They were duped by Norman Osborn into joining his Dark X-Men, but came to their senses and joined the real X-Men team. I was really excited about my favorite duo on the team.
For the uninitiated, Cloak and Dagger were two runaway kids living on the streets who were kidnapped and injected with drugs. These drugs transformed Tandy Bowen into Dagger, a creature of light energy, and Tyrone “Ty†Johnson became Cloak, a creature powered by Darkforce who teleports and absorbs energy, usually from humans, to survive.
