Dark Horse Comics
Release Date: August 21, 2019 If you have ever had a cat, then you know how regal they can be. It is almost as if they know more than anyone or anything else; basking in that knowledge and superiority. If you ignore their aloofness and their ever-present need to have humans cater to their every whim, they are actually marvelous little creatures. So is it really a far stretch to imagine that one of them could be able to travel ethereally to help one they have befriended. But such is the case in Dark Horse Comics‘ Strayed #1.

Release Date: May 29, 2019
Cover Price: $14.99 With all the reboots that happen in the movie industry, you would think that people would eventually rebel against all the rehashing. But then a gem like this one comes along and renews everyone’s faith in the concept of re-imagining. Joss Whedon created one of the most dynamic characters to ever grace the page or screen, this was enhanced through television, film, comics, and books. Titan Comics
Release Date: April 30, 2019
Cover Price: $16.99 I had absolutely no idea who or what this would entail but the cover looked amazingly steampunk-ish so I decided to go for it. I cannot even begin to tell you how glad I am that I made that decision. Newbury & Hobbes: The Undying is apparently the first graphic novel in the franchise but there are a plethora of books to be had, as well. Note to self: buy them all. Why, you ask? Well, let’s just say that this was more fun than a barrel of monkeys. Though, to be fair, I have never seen nor played with a barrel of monkeys.

Dynamite Entertainment
Release Date: April 3, 2019
Cover Price: $3.99 I have been a lifelong fan of Bettie Page and must admit that the zany adventure comics that Dynamite has been producing with her as the leading lady have entertained me to no end. More than just a pretty face, Bettie has saved the world several times over. Her uncommon wit and ability to handle herself have made these new comics ongoing favorites of mine. It is because of that love that I wanted to alert you to the Bettie Page Dynamite Covers Collection.
