Last Man On Earth 215 Header

The Last Man On Earth
Season 2 Episode 15: “Fourth Finger”
Written by Erik Durbin
Directed by Jason Woliner
Created by Will Forte, Phil Lord, and Christopher Miller
Starring Will Forte, January Jones, Kristen Schaal, Mel Rodriguez, Cleopatra Coleman, Mary Steenburgen, Jason Sudeikis
FOX
Air Date: Sunday, April 17th, 2016, 9:30pm

Last week on The Last Man On Earth, Mike Miller (Guest star Jason Sudeikis) was really hitting it off with the Malibu residents, and Phil (Will Forte) was jealous (surprise!). They acted just like brothers – brothers in the regular world, not ones who miraculously survived an apocalypse together. But the group (except Carol) showed preference for Mike. Tandy got so envious, he told them how Mike wasn’t there for his dying grandmother. Mike got him back though. He shaved half his head and beard. Melissa and Gail (January Jones and Mary Steenburgen) agreed to both date Todd (Mel Rodriguez).

Last Man On Earth S2 Cast Header

The Last Man On Earth
Season 2 Episode 3: “Dead Man Walking”
Directed by John Solomon
Written by Erik Durbin
Created by Will Forte, Phil Lord, and Christopher Miller
Starring Will Forte, January Jones, Kristen Schaal, Mel Rodriguez, Cleopatra Coleman, Mary Steenburgen, Boris Kodjoe
FOX
Air Date: Sunday, October 11th, 2015, 9:30pm

Last week was one of my favorite The Last Man On Earth episodes ever. Phil (Will Forte) had accidentally left Carol (Kristen Schaal) at a gas station, and couldn’t find her. Carol waited, mirroring Phil’s apocalyptic beginning. He was so desperate to find her, he went to Tucson even though it would mean his death (they burned down his house). He came up with a genius idea to spray paint a train with a message to her. And it worked! Phil had a Tandi moment when he found a note from the gang that they went to Malibu. Since they didnt want Phil, he hid it… for a little while. But his love for Carol overcame that, and soon they headed out. Carol went to feel out the gang, jumped out and screamed, “Boo!” And killed Will Ferrell.

Spoilers below.

Last night was the finale! And what a satisfying end to the season, with a tease of excitement to come! Do NOT continue if you haven’t watched The Last Man On Earth 1.13 “Screw The Moon” yet, because there are spoilers.

The first week, there was just Phil (Will Forte) and then Carol (Kristen Schaal). The second and third week brought us Melissa (January Jones). The fourth week had Todd (Mel Rodriguez) jump in the mix. Then we got a week off from new people. Finally, we met Mary Steenburgen and Cleopatra Coleman. And last but not least, new Phil Miller (Boris Kodjoe) shows up. Does anyone show up this time?

The Last Man On Earth 111-01

The Last Man on Earth
Season 1 Episode 11: “Moved to Tampa”
Directed by Jason Woliner
Written by Erik Durbin
Created by Will Forte, Phil Lord, and Christopher Miller
Starring Will Forte, January Jones, Kristen Schaal, Mel Rodriguez, Cleopatra Coleman, Mary Steenburgen
FOX
Air Date: Sunday, April 19th, 2015, 9:30pm

On last week’s Last Man on Earth 1.10, two women in the beautiful forms of Cleopatra Coleman and Mary Steenburgen, appeared to Phil (Will Forte) and he tried to hide them from the group. Or hide the group from them – whichever. He was on the brink of a sex party, when of course the two groups ran into each other. Now, since Phil lied so he could go be a bad husband, it turned into an “everybody hates Phil” party, Phil’s least favorite kind of party. I did feel bad for Carol (Kristen Schaal) though. She was very loyal and always saw the best in him. She presented him with a very “Carol” divorce decree.
