Dark Horse Comics has been running a sale all this weekend on the digital version of their various Serenity comic book series for only $.99 each issue.

The sale includes Serenity: Those Left Behind #1-3 and Serenity: Better Days #1-3, which were written by Firefly creator Joss Whedon, as well as Serenity: Float Out, a one-shot written by actor/comedian Patton Oswalt.

The $10 t-shirt deal of the day over at TeeFury today is a Firefly-themed Peanuts-inspired shirt called “The Gang” by artist queenmob.

The sale began at Teefury today, Sunday, October 23, 2011, at midnight EST, and will continue for 24 hours from then, and once it’s over, it will not be sold on the site anymore.

The sale at RIPT began today, Wednesday, September 28, 2011, at midnight CST, and will continue for 24 hours from then, and once it’s over, it will not be sold on the site anymore.

A University of Wisconsin–Stout theater professor, James Miller,has come under fire after putting up a poster for the Joss Whedon sci–fi western cult classic, Firefly, on his office door.

The poster (seen here) included one of Captain Malcolm Reynolds’ (Nathan Fillion) many classic quotes: “You don’t know me, son, so let me explain this to you once: If I ever kill you, you’ll be awake. You’ll be facing me. And you’ll be armed.” But apparently there’s a lot of very stupid people involved with monitoring the happenings of The University of Wisconsin–Stout, because campus police saw the poster, blindly only saw the words “kill you,” and removed it because clearly some kid was going to wander by, see it, and kill someone.
