Grand Theft Auto V Deaths

Who knows how many ways you can actually die while playing Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto V. So many obvious things could do the trick, whether it be getting gunned down by cops or a gang, hitting a wall at 100 mph, or falling off a mountain. Just to name a few.

But there’s also lots of not-so-obvious ways to meet your maker, including plenty you might not expect and some that are rather hilarious.

In the video below, you can see 35 of the different ways to die in GTA V.

Grand Theft Auto V Chase

So Grand Theft Auto V has arrived, and already YouTube is littered with videos of people doing all sorts of crazy, funny, and epic things.

One of the more intense things you can do in Rockstar Games’ series, is of course to cause lots of trouble and see if you can outrun the cops. This is harder than ever in GTA V, as even after you “lose” the authorities, they still look for you for a period of time, and if they spot you, the chase is on again. But this is mainly with a three or less star wanted level—when you get to four or even five stars losing the cops is incredibly difficult, and often ends in your demise one way or another.

One video posted to YouTube shows just how insane police chases can be, to the point where you just know it would make Michael Bay shed a proud tear. You can see that video below.

Grand Theft Auto V Xbox 360

Grand Theft Auto V
Xbox 360 l PlayStation 3
DEVELOPER: Rockstar Games
PUBLISHER: Rockstar Games
RELEASE DATE: September 17, 2013

There’s few things as exciting as the day when a video game you’ve waited for impatiently for a handful of years finally finds its way into your hands. Sure, original games are always fun to check out in hopes of finding new favorites, but unlike movies where sequels are often greeted with much negativity—even when they ultimately prove to be good—video game sequels often elicit an eager anticipation making them unlike any other form of entertainment. This is because game sequels are not a cheaply made or rushed cash grab, and the talent making them is usually the same. They’re a way to play something familiar and sometimes continue a story, but with the added selling points of new options, graphics, and characters. Game developers take the things you love most and tweak them to make them better, and take the things that you might not like and try new things to improve them.

While this is all true for most video game sequels, few parallel the amount of buzz and excitement that erupts when we the gamers of the world find out a new Grand Theft Auto is on the way from Rockstar Games. There’s nothing quite like escaping your real life and running amok in a virtual world, and no one does it quite like Rockstar does it.

The buzz and excitement for the latest installment in the series, Grand Theft Auto V, has surpassed all of the previous titles by far, so all that’s left to do is find out if it lives up to the hype.

Grand Theft Auto V Heist

The Call of Duty franchise made a habit of breaking records, usually its own. Modern Warfare 2, for example set a record by making $310 million in its first 24 hours. That record was broken by Black Ops, which made $360 million. Modern Warfare 3 then made $400 million on its first day and went on to reach the $1 billion mark one day sooner than James Cameron’s Avatar. Then, finally, Black Ops II was able to hit $500 million day one.

All of these are huge numbers, summer blockbuster grand total numbers reached in ONE single day (with pre-orders included, of course). But all of those numbers have been blasted out of the water now.

It’s being reported that Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto V has scored a jaw-dropping $800 million day one total.

Grand Theft Auto V

We’ve seen a lot of Grand Theft Auto V footage from Rockstar Games so far, from the three character trailers, to that jaw-dropping first gameplay video, and of course the stunning look at muliplayer action. Because of all of these great looks at the game we’ve had, it may seem odd to see the first “official” trailer for the game now, but alas, it is here.

As most official trailers do, it focuses more on the story of our three main characters, Michael, Franklin, and Trevor. You can check out the official trailer below.
