A couple of years back Legendary Pictures and Universal Pictures announced an August 2016 release date for a movie titled Spectral, which was set to be helmed by commercials director Nic Mathieu. The movie is a military thriller about a special-ops team sent in to deal with a supernatural force wreaking havoc on a European city.
Spectral ended up being pulled from the originally scheduled release, however, and distribution was eventually acquired by Netflix. A new trailer for the movie has been released online ahead of its release in a couple of days on the streaming service, and you can check it out below.
Paramount Pictures has just released the trailer for Michael Bay‘s new movie 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi, based on Mitchell Zuckoff‘s book, due in theaters January 16th, 2016.
Towards the end of 2014, we got our very first look atThe Walk, starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
The film, directed by Robert Zemeckis, is a telling of the 1970 event when Philippe Petit and a team of conspirators strung a wire between the World Trade Center towers in New York City so that Petit could perform a high-wire walk hundreds of feet above ground. The highly illegal act makes for a promising movie since there is drama, heist, and death-defying stunt elements in the film. Check out the trailer below.
If you’ve seen the 2008 documentary Man on Wire, then you’re familiar with French daredevil Philippe Petit‘s high-wire walk from one of the Twin Towers in New York City to the other one morning in 1974. The stunt was unbelievable to witness, insanely dangerous, and also so very much illegal. The documentary was based on Petit’s book, To Reach the Clouds.
Now Hollywood is ready to take its turn in telling this remarkable story. The first trailer has been released for The Walk, which is directed by Robert Zemeckis (Back to the Future, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Flight) and stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Philippe Petit.
