| ‘Avengers: Endgame’ 4K, Blu-ray, and DVD Coming Home To You This Summer
“Where did that bring you? Back to me.” – Thanos. Avengers: Endgame is the epic conclusion to an 11-year story arc. And we’ve known that it has made a historic blockbuster run breaking all sorts of milestones along the way. The film is even trying to get an extra push in order to surpass Avatar‘s all-time highest box office gross mark. But now it is time to think about what it will be like to have that home. Marvel Studios has announced that Avengers: Endgame will be available on Digital platforms (with an option to get the bonus features) on July 30, 2019, and is available now for pre-order. 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD editions will be released on August 13, 2019. | ‘Avengers: Endgame’ To Be Re-Released This Weekend With New Footage, A Little Tribute, and A Few Surprises
For those Marvel fans who cannot live with the fact that Avatar is still the highest grossing film of all-time, you have another chance to help give Avengers: Endgame the boost it needs to pass James Cameron’s film. Marvel Studios’ latest is only $45 million shy of crossing Avatar‘s 2.787 billion worldwide. And just to be sure that the re-release isn’t just the same cut of the film that came out way back in late April, there will be some additions to the newest cut of Avengers: Endgame, namely extra footage that never made it in the original cut and a tribute. Though it may not leave as much of an impression on fans as an Avengers ensemble film, as a standalone it is able to leave a lasting impact because of its themes and added layers, which makes it better than any traditional action flick. Filled with some insightful and powerful thematic bonus features, Captain Marvel will surely be a great addition to the collection of any fan of Marvel Studios or superhero films in general. | Mindy Kaling Has Spoken To Marvel Studios About ‘Ms. Marvel’
The superhero field has become more diversified in recent years, and one of the most notable heroes to appear in the pages of a comic book is Kamala Khan, Marvel’s first Muslim hero. Khan took over the Ms. Marvel name and suit from Carol Danvers who assumed the Captain Marvel name. The character’s appearance has been an inspiration and the face of inclusion, and now she may be getting the big screen treatment. In an interview during the Late Night press junket, Mindy Kaling says she has spoken to Marvel Studios about writing a Ms. Marvel adaptation. More on this below.
