| ‘Star Wars Rebels’ Season 2 Premieres June 20
Disney XD will be doing a massive celebration to commemorate everything Star Wars on May 4 – because any other day would just be any other day, but that is May The 4th, a special annual Star Wars observance. In addition, it has been confirmed that Star Wars: Rebels Season 2 will debut on June 20 at 9:00 PM EST/PST. The hour-long premiere will be a film of sorts, much like how the first two episodes of the first season were combined into one film. The season will continue to rollout new episodes in the Fall. Below we got all the details on what you can expect to see on May 4.

| ‘Star Wars’ Stormtrooper Photography By Stefan Le Du
I love action figures; always have, always will. As a child, all I wanted to receive as gifts were action figures — many of which were Star Wars related. I don’t collect toys like I used to, but every once in awhile my wife will surprise me with one from my Amazon wish list. When I first stumbled across Stefan Le Du‘s Stormtroopers 365 photography about two years ago, the fond memories of my childhood returned — playing with Star Wars figures in my bedroom and recreating the “Battle of Hoth” or the fight over The Sarlaac. Though those days are long gone, my appreciation and admiration for those figures returns every time I see Le Du’s creatively whimsical Star Wars related photos. Check out a collection of my favorite from Le Du’s Stormtroopers 365 gallery here below!

| It’s Not Wise To Upset A Wookiee: The Wisdom Of Being Raised On ‘Star Wars’ |

Here we are celebrating May The 4th, also known as Star Wars Day, once again. And I was going to try and write up something based on the new movie coming out or something cool about the cast…but I decided to go a different route. Today, I’m going to tell you about some of the most influential Star Wars-related things that have occurred in my life, starting with the original movie. I was six when the first Star Wars film hit theaters and, as we all know, that’s a highly impressionable age. The film amazed me, as I’m sure it did virtually everyone. But the true influence at that time was the line of toys that accompanied it. My first three figures were Darth Vader, R2-D2, and C-3PO. I remember being angry that the local stores were sold out when we were out shopping, but my ever-awesome Aunt Cathy managed to find those three action figures somewhere and gave them to me for my birthday about a month after the movie came out. It was the beginning of 35 years of collecting, though I had no idea of that at the time.

| May the 4th: ‘Star Wars’ Mos Eisley Cantina Videos |
 |

For May The 4th — Star Wars Day — YouTube recently released videos for their “May the 4th be with YouTube” initiative. This year, YouTube Space LA and Lucasfilm gave four YouTube Channels the opportunity to shoot and produce an original video inspired by Star Wars on a Mos Eisley Cantina replica set. You can watch those videos that were created here below. I probably don’t need to tell you all this, but the Mos Eisley Cantina is seen in the first Star Wars (as I like to call it), now known as Star Wars: Episode IV: A New Hope (I do not call it this). When Ben “Obi-Wan” Kenobi, Luke Skywalker, and the droids C-3PO and R2-D2 go to Mos Eisley (located on Luke’s home planet Tattooine), Kenobi says of the spaceport, “There’s never been a more wretched hive of scum and villainy.” The group goes to the Mos Eisley Cantina to look for a transport to the Alderaan system (although, the droids end up having to wait outside, since the bar doesn’t “serve their kind”) and that’s where Luke first meets Millennium Falcon pilot Han Solo and his co-pilot, the wookiee Chewbecca. The Cantina is also the setting of the controversial showdown between Han Solo and the bounty hunter Greedo.
