Last week on Bates Motel, Dr. Edwards (Damon Gupton) told Norman (Freddie Highmore) about his Norma persona that comes out when he blacks out. That Norma (Vera Farmiga) told the doctor of the abuse at the hands of Norman’s father, which is why she had to protect Norman. The real Norma met with Chick (Ryan Hurst) and basically lost her s**t around him in front of Alex (Nestor Carbonell). She confessed about her brother, but Romero didn’t care. He loves her and wants to stay with her. Dylan (Max Thieriot) went to pack his stuff to move to Seattle, despite Norma being upset about it, and found the letter Emma’s mom left.

Last week’s Bates Motel saw Norman (Freddie Highmore) try to throw himself into therapy. He did sneak a phone message to Norma (Vera Farmiga), then hallucinated that she visited him. Dylan (Max Thieriot) went on a legit job interview, and he and Emma (Olivia Cooke) grew closer. Chick (Ryan Hurst) started stalking Norma. At first she didn’t realize it, but then he confessed. Norman turned into Norma during therapy with Dr. Edwards (Damon Gupton). Norma asked Alex (Nestor Carbonell) if he killed Bob Paris, and he didn’t deny it. Last week on Bates Motel, Norman (Freddie Highmore) called Dylan (Max Thieriot) to warn him about Norma (Vera Farmiga), but Dylan just tries to soothe him. Norma definitely is starting to like her new husband, and even goes to the Winter festival with him. Rebecca is sniffing around Romero (Nestor Carbonell) about Bob and money. Norman’s new bestie Julian drags him out for the night (after quite the easy escape), but a strip club is not Norman’s idea of fun. But it is Norma’s (great scene). The boys get caught and Norman breaks down to Dr. Edwards. He (and we) feel very sorry for Norman’s anguish.
