A little over a year ago, Michael Bay set the internet ablaze with a quote that seemed to indicate that in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot he’s producing, the turtles would have alien origins instead of mutating as we’re all familiar with.

It wasn’t clear if Bay was being serious with the quote or if he was talking about (as director Jonathan Liebesman later reminded everyone) the alien origins of the ooze that mutates the turtles itself (or if he knew what he was talking about at all), but word of fan outrage reaching him led Bay to tell everyone to “chill.”

But as the reboot gets closer to production, Bay has decided to clear things up a bit. Continue reading to see what Bay had to say.

First we found out that Michael Bay had plans to tweak the origin story of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle, dropping the “teenage mutant” part and instead having the quartet being aliens from another world. Fans were not pleased. After a bit of outrage, Bay told everyone to chill out. Again, not so popular. Then came the recent news that Megan Fox had been cast over a list of much better actress options to play April O’Neil. Fans’ heads exploded.

No, things have not exactly gone smoothly for this new attempt at a Ninja Turtles movie. And scheduling the movie has not done much to improve hopes.

At one point the project was shut down, and the release date pushed back from December of 2013 to May of 2014. Now the movie has been delayed once again.

Countless mods have been made over the years, but only a few truly stand out to those of us who don’t use them. Today we share with you a few such mods worth seeing in action. YouTube user wapeddell has been sharing his mods for a while now, including his work bringing other video game characters into the world of Grand Theft Auto IV.

His work is so good that it looks like these characters were developed into the game from the start, plucked from their own worlds and dropped onto the harsh streets of Liberty City.

Paramount has been feeling a considerable amount of pressure lately. The studio had to reschedule G.I. Joe: Retaliation weeks before its release to March 2013 because they wanted to “add 3D effects“ to the film. Then came word that World War Z was to undergo 6 to 7 weeks worth of reshoots, and that Prometheus scribe Damon Lindelof was brought in to work on the third act of the film.

And if that wasn’t enough for Paramount, there is now word that production has been halted on Michael Bay‘s Ninja Turtles film and that it’s being delayed until May 2014.

We’ve been hearing a lot about Paramount Pictures’ upcoming reboot of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, but most of it has been a tad unsettling…to say the least.

This of course sent fans into an enraged frenzy, and led Bay to tell everyone to chill out.

Now Bay is at it again, revealing an official title for the movie. And just as you might have expected, it supports recent controversies.
