2012

Sony Pictures has announced that they will pull 2012, their new disaster movie from Roland Emmerich, from its July release date and push is back to November 13, 2009.

Rory Bruer from Sony explained that their summer slate is already strong enough, offering The Da Vinci Code sequel Angels & Demons with Tom Hanks as well as The Taking of Pelham One Two Three with Denzel Washington and John Travolta as examples. In its new November slot, 2012 will be up against Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes which stars Robert Downey Jr. with the Twilight sequel New Moon following the week after.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with 2012, details and the teaser trailer on the other side.

There are many other books in the large series, so there could be plenty of movies with the right kind of success. One of the books included in the series is I, Robot, which of course we’ve already seen hit the screen.

Below is the description of the series by way of Wiki.
