Syfy
Air Date: Wednesday, August 16th, 2017, 10pm Last week on SYFY’s Blood Drive Grace (Christina Ochoa) drove a wounded and dying Arthur (Alan Ritchson) to the edge of the Scar. The only place around was a bizarre Chinese restaurant, a sort of purgatory for it’s owner. Meanwhile, poor Arthur went on the vision quest from Hell, being tortured physically and mentally, before ending up crucified by his personal demons. The ghosts of Blood Drive past all showed to torment him, and while he languished, Grace made a choice that could save Arthur and possibly put her life on the line. Such is life in the Scar. Check out my review of tonight’s Blood Drive below.

Air Date: Wednesday, August 9th, 2017, 10pm Last week on Syfy’s Blood Drive, Arthur and Grace entered the Wild West town of Red River. They were able to get their brain bombs removed, but more problems followed soon after. Grace (Christina Ochoa) squared off with Slink (Colin Cunningham) in an intense showdown in a saloon. Meanwhile Arthur (Alan Ritchson) was a pawn for the evil eyeless sheriff and ended up with a bullet in him near the end. Add this to the list of things Grace feels guilty for… Review below.

Sharknado 5: Global Swarming
Directed by Anthony C Ferrante

Starring Ian Ziering, Tara Reid, Cassandra Scerbo, Masiela Lusha, Cody Linley, Charo, Chris Kattan, Fabio, Olivia Newton-John
SyFy | Asylum Productions
Release Date: Sunday, August 6th, 2017, 8:00pm ET The most wonderful time of the summer is upon us; it’s Sharknado Time! Back in 2013, the Asylum produced the first Sharknado and it “stormed” social media and became an overnight sensation. Here we are, 4 films later ready for the fifth installment of the franchise that helped resurrect the careers of Ian Ziering and Tara Reid. These films are very dear to me, as this marks my 4-year anniversary writing and reviewing for Geeks of Doom. The Sharknado franchise checks all the boxes: sharks, disaster movies, celebrity cameos, hilariously awful special effects”¦ in other words, it’s event TV. This time, the ‘nado has gone global! Let’s be real, reviewing Sharknado 5: Global Swarming in the same way you review other films or television series it just pointless. You knew years ago from the title alone if these movies were for you. This is now an annual American event, like Discovery Channel’s Shark Week. Fans gather to watch the ridiculousness, laugh at the cameos, and see what crazy stuff the creators come up with next.

Syfy
Air Date: Wednesday, August 2nd, 2017, 10pm Last week on Syfy’s original series Blood Drive, a giant monster ran amok, slaughtering Blood Drivers. Sadly, we bade farewell to the Gentleman (Andrew Hall) who went out in an orgy of one liners, and sexual innuendos. Julian Slink (Colin Cunningham) is back in control of the Blood Drive, and has Heart Enterprises by the balls. Of course his glorious victory came with the revelation that he lead Karma to her death”¦ and oh that was not what Grace (Christina Ochoa) wanted to hear. Her entire purpose in the Drive was to rescue Karma and use the winnings to start over. Now her motive is revenge and she has a target. This week, the Blood Drive heads to the wild west town of Red River where Slink and Grace will square off Back to the Future Part III-style. Check out my review for Blood Drive Episode 8 (SPOILERS):

| Check Out Some ‘Sharknado 5: Global Swarming’ Preview Videos!
It’s summer, it was just Shark Week, so it must be time for another Sharknado! Syfy channel’s annual event is soon approaching and this time, the “˜nados are going all over the planet, hitting some of the biggest cities with the largest populations of people aka bait. Whereas the 2013 original from The Asylum focused the hilarious weather phenomenon over Los Angeles, and its sequel went east to New York, things got out of hand quickly, heading to outer space by the time we got to sequels 3 and 4. This time, the jokes seems to edge political, with its title: Sharknado 5: Global Swarming, and its catchphrase, “Make America Bait Again.” No one and nowhere is off limits this time including the Queen of England (Charo), the Prime Minister (Chris Kattan), and the Pope (Fabio)! Check out the videos below.
