The $10 t-shirt deal of the day over at TeeFury today is a tribute to 1980’s movies called “Class of 1985” by NikHolmes.

The sale began at Teefury today, Monday, December 19, 2011, at midnight EST, and will continue for 24 hours from then, and once it’s over, it will not be sold on the site anymore.

Jason Bateman has been making the talk-show rounds this week to promote his new flick The Change-Up, a body-switch movie co-starring Ryan Reynolds, out in theaters this weekend. While the premise might seem played out already [not to me, I’m watching The Hot Chick as I write this], if Jason Bateman’s in it, I’m watching it [I’m still waiting for the big-screen version of It’s Your Move].

One role Bateman is remembered for is from his early days is as the lead in Teen Wolf Too, the 1987 sequel to the Michael J. Fox hit Teen Wolf. During Bateman’s recent appearance on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, the actor mentioned how that film was a “low light” of his career, prompting Jimmy Fallon to bust out a clip from Teen Wolf Too where Bateman’s character wolfs out a bit at school while requesting a change in his class schedule. After watching, Bateman says he could do the scene better now, and so guess what happens? Yup, Bateman and Fallon do a re-take on the scene! A trailer has been released for the new MTV series, Teen Wolf, which of course is based on the ’80s title of the same name starring Michael J. Fox. Because of the association, many (myself included) just assumed that this was going to be some kind of wacky High School Musical deal with prepubescent tween werewolves. But to what could be considered great shock, the trailer for the new show doesn’t play anything like Fox’s van-surfing high school basketball hero version. In fact, it may actually look…somewhat decent.

Now, let’s now get too far ahead of ourselves. This new Teen Wolf still looks like a Vampire Diaries-level werewolf show, but it is a hell of a lot better looking than was once assumed. I can’t say I’ll be rushing to watch it myself, but you just might.

Moviehole is reporting that Warner Brothers is dusting off the rights that they purchased a few years back to Teen Wolf, and prepping it for a shiny modern-day makeover.

When it comes to pure, glorious ’80s fare, Teen Wolf has to be pretty close to the top of the list. It had all of the great cliches and styles; all of the unbearably excellent music tracks; and it even had one of those classic feel-good victory endings. Sadly, this also means that Teen Wolf was 100% destined for a remake.

The movie follows Scott Howard (Michael J. Fox), a nobody high school student and mediocre basketball player. One day Scott realizes that he and his family are not quite like everyone else when he turns into a werewolf. At first he naturally wants to keep this a secret, but when the secret is out, he surprisingly becomes the most popular kid at school and a basketball star. There was also a sequel called Teen Wolf Too with Jason Bateman (before the comic talent was realized) as a boxing werewolf!
